Luna began not as an organization, but as a circle of women showing up for one another. 

     When Teresa was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, our immediate instinct as friends was simple: be there. What started as conversations—checking in, sharing concerns, looking for ways to help—quickly became something more intentional. We each brought different perspectives, but a shared realization emerged: the kind of support Teresa needed wasn’t easy to find.

     In searching for resources, we reached out to Lisbet, a cancer survivor, hoping to learn from her experience. Her response—that there were no wellness programs available to her while she balanced treatment, work, and family—was both surprising and clarifying. It highlighted a gap that none of us could ignore.

     From that moment, our roles began to take shape organically.

     With a background in nonprofit leadership, healthcare, and program development, we began outlining what a structured, accessible wellness program could look like. Others in our circle contributed in equally meaningful ways—offering insight, connections, creative direction, and hands-on support. What united us was not just professional experience, but a shared commitment to ensuring no woman feels unsupported during such a critical time.

     Luna was built from lived experience, collaboration, and care.

     We are friends, professionals, survivors, and advocates—coming together to create something we wish had existed when it was needed most. And that foundation continues to guide how we grow: thoughtfully, compassionately, and always centered on the women we serve.
